In yet another brilliant jab at Canada, today President Donald Trump stuck it to Vancouver by changing Mount Rainier’s name back to its original name of Tacoma.
“A new assistant of mine who weirdly looks like Rep. Pramila Jayapal with a curly moustache just told me this morning that the only reason that volcano is named Mount Rainier is some stupid Vancouver guy sailed by Washington on his way up to Canada and decided to name it after some fat European elitist friend of his,” said Trump in a speech Monday. “And I said, well, screw you, Vancouver—its name is changing back to Tacoma, which of course was originally named after the great Native American pickup truck.”
Brands like Rainier Beer immediately came under fire by the MAGA crowd for not immediately changing their names to something less foreign.
“Look at this woke beer company still pledging allegiance to Vancouver over their own country—you guys make me sick,” said one apparently real conservative posting on X. “Typical woke Seattle won’t get on board with a more American name.”
At press time, Trump’s new aide was reportedly trying to keep him from continuing to rename other Washington volcanos like Mount Baker to Tundra, and Mount St. Helens to 4Runner.
