Asked how they were voting on the lesser understood of three initiatives on the Washington ballot, I-001, one local mom and dad said they voted yes on it to restore parents’ rights to know if a child they regularly beat the shit out of has snitched.

“If my child has confided in any adult at school about how we keep them in line at home, we deserve to know so we can make them sufficiently too scared to ever snitch on us again,” said local father Dan Wailer as his wife Pam nodded in agreement. “I’ve heard some school officials brainwash children into thinking they deserve love, support and acceptance. But only we know what’s best for our child, and that happens to be a belt and starvation.”

If passed, the initiative would give parents the right to receive within 10 days any record of medical and mental health counseling their child receives at school.

“If we haven’t broken our child’s spirit enough to keep them from asking for help, we deserve to know,” said mother Pam Wailer. “It’s also important that we receive prior notification of our child attempting to receive any mental health, birth control or STI treatment resources because none of that is needed when we can just call her a dirty whore and then mercilessly beat her for her sins at home.”

Dan said he’s hoping in the next election that initiative author and hedge fund manager Brian Heywood can expand the concept to a Husband’s Right to Know law that requires domestic violence shelters to notify abusive men if their wives “ever tell anyone about this.”
