After leaving pet food out on the porch overnight in hopes St. Jimothy soon would be there, one Ballard family woke up this morning to find he not only came but left them presents.

“Mommy, mommy, St. Jimothy came!” said little Emma marveling at yard full of raccoon presents in every shape and size. “He ate all the cat food we left out on the back porch last night and used the hand-washing bowl of water we gave him! I knew St. Jimothy was real.”

Every night only a chosen few Ballard houses are visited by St. Jimothy, who lets families know he was there by eating pet kibble, splashing his hands and using their yard as his personal latrine.

“Jimothy Christmas, what has he been eating?” said Pete, father of the family, as he opened a few presents. “Wow, looks like he spent all night eating Taco Bell to build this one—you must have been a very good girl this summer, Emma!”

As Emma spent the morning poking each present with a stick still in amazement that St. Jimothy came, her tired but happy mother and father cuddled and smiled at each other with a knowing glance.
