Just in time for Easter this next weekend, Pike Place Fish Market announced today it will be celebrating the holy holiday by selling local seafood lovers and tourists alike their brand new, limited edition Smoked Salmon Peeps.

“Smell that? Those are the freshest fishy marshmallow treats you can buy this side of the Mississippi,” said veteran fishmonger Rob Beauford, launching a Smoked Salmon Peep into the eager mouth of a nearby customer. “Don’t forget to pick up some of our other seasonal delicacies including Reese’s Pufferfish Cups, eelybeans, or—our personal favorite—chocolate-shelled Cadbury caviar.”

In addition to their seafood-flavored confectionery, the world-famous fish market has promised plenty of fun activities for the whole family.

“Kids just love our seafood-themed egg hunts—though I have a feeling the egg we hid inside the monkfish this year will be there for a while,” Beauford said as several children ran away from it screaming. “And before you head home, make sure to stop by for a special photo op with Barry, the Easter Barracuda. Don’t worry about the rows of razor teeth, kids! His smell is much worse than his bite.”

At press time, local Pike Place Market bakeries confirmed that fans of stale peeps are in luck as all piroshky and bagel schmear orders this week come with a complementary topping or filling of the Fish Market’s signature Smoke Salmon Peep Lox.
