Today the Puget Sound’s Taylor Shellfish Farms made local seafood history again with the launch of its exclusive new product: pre-cut, easier-to-clean geoducks.

“Are you tired of always having to peel back the skin of your geoducks all on your own in order to clean them?” said the narrator of an ad for the new product as an actor playing a frustrated geoduck owner tried to pull back the skin with a loud sigh and no luck. “There’s got to be a better way! And now there is, with Taylor Shelfish Farms’ new HelloFreshCut, easy-to-clean geoducks. Just a quick rinse, and they’re ready to gobble up!”

Taylor Shellfish customer Tessa Warner says the snipped geoducks are in fact easier to clean and prep before popping its sweet, succulent meat into her mouth.

“Sure, an uncut geoduck can be great, but you never really know what you’re gonna be dealing with under the surface once you really get in there,” Tessa said while carefully cupping a cleaned geoduck’s visceral ball in her hands. “Sometimes those skins can really put the gooey in geoduck, you know what I’m saying? This is just easier. Can’t wait to slurp this guy down!”

At press time, the local Health Department wanted to remind seafood lovers that most healthy clams that drink enough water actually self-clean.
