Buoy was immediately fired today after the pantsless Seattle Kraken mascot took to the Climate Pledge Arena ice to “remind Mariner fans who had the blue corndog first.”
“Look, having Ichiro yeet the first fish was one thing, but making a big deal out of the blue corndog like the Mariners were the first to have one of those around too? Now it’s gone too far,” said Buoy as he ripped off tear away pants on the arena ice today. “The Kraken were the first to have the blue corndog too and now there’s no way you’ll ever forget it!”
Kraken management apologized in a statement after confirming Buoy was no longer employed at the organization.
“We’ve told Buoy several times that the official sausage of Climate Pledge Arena is Bavarian Meats’ Kraken sausage, not his blue corndog,” said the statement. “While sports marketing gimmicks can get wild at times, believe us when we say we never thought our troll would show and rub his family jewels like that.”
At press time, Buoy had reportedly already scored a job copywriting social media posts for Dan Price.
