Bravely taking a stand with millions of starving civilians being indiscriminately bombed every day with no safe place to go or escape, businesses across Seattle have been illuminating their buildings with red, green, white, and black all month long in solidarity with Palestine.
“Hey, some things are easy to figure out, like 2 + 2 is 4 or when thousands of innocent civilians of the same nationality and race are trapped and killed in a place they don’t even have the right to collect rainwater, that’s genocide and it’s bad,” said President of Dick’s Drive-in, Jasmine Donovan after taking a sip of their new watermelon milkshake. “I mean, could you imagine how crazy it would be to celebrate Christmas—a holiday literally about a child born in present-day Palestine with a target on his head—without caring about children in present-day Palestine currently with targets on their head? I mean, like, that would make exactly zero sense. Good thing so many of us are on the same page that this is awful and needs to stop immediately: Ceasefire now.”
Operators of Seattle’s Great Wheel concurred.
“When Russia all of a sudden started invading and killing thousands of innocent Ukrainians, we proudly lit the Great Wheel in blue and yellow, so of course we’re doing the same for Palestine as they endure more than two months of endless terror that’s slaughtered almost 30,000 people. Ukrainian lives would never mean more just because they’re whiter than Palestinian lives,” said Seattle Great Wheel General Manager Gerry Hall. “And, because IDF is even killing the hostages they’re supposed to be saving, solidarity with a Free Palestine is also solidarity with freeing innocent Israelis from their own right-wing fascist leaders and military who have never really given a genuine shit about the real safety of their own citizens either.”
As for the Space Needle, a spokesman confirmed that the decorated evergreen tree at the top of the iconic landmark this year is indeed a cedar, the same evergreen displayed on the flag of Lebanon, to also show them support as Israel bombs and threatens to invade them as well.
