Extolling the virtues of work/life balance in a heartfelt LinkedIn post today, Bellevue tech executive Bryan Anderson announced this week that he’s excited to finally spend some quality time infecting his kids with COVID.
“Work isn’t everything, you know? Sometimes you just need to just take some time off because you’re barred from entering the office until you test negative, and spend quality time infecting your kids with Covid,” read Anderson’s LinkedIn post. “My sons are never going to be 4 and 7 years old again, and that’s why I’m devoting this entire week to being fully present to hold them close, no masks necessary—at least not literal ones. #BeIntentional.”
The post went on to describe how excited Anderson is to finally play catch with his second-grade son Timmy for the first time right after he finishes writing another LinkedIn post about why Covid is actually no excuse not to work from home.
“Don’t worry, I can totally infect my family and work remotely at the same time,” Anderson said, typing away on his laptop from a bed covered in dirty tissues. “And, after asking my department come back to work at the office this last month, I believe they’ll be able to do both this next week too.”
At press time, Anderson updated his post to say he’s also happy to be spending quality time infecting his wife with COVID and whatever STDs his coworker Shawna possibly has.
