Contrary to popular belief, researchers released a report today confirming that Disney+ hit, WandaVision, is in fact not a tell-all documentary about about beloved comedian and actor Wanda Sykes at all.
“I mean, it was fine, but it was WAY different than I expected,” said media researcher Lena Evans. “I was hoping to hear a detailed story about Wanda Sykes’ childhood and what led her to pursue comedy in the first place. Instead it was a 50’s sitcom-fantasy show starring one of the Olsen sisters, a lady from Bad Moms, and the guy from Wimbledon playing a robot. Quite the bait and switch if you ask me.”
Viewers across the globe were deeply disappointed that throughout the entire series of WandaVision, there was not a single mention of Wanda Sykes comedy career, nor her unforgettable roles in Black-ish, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Pootie Tang.
“The title is clearly false advertising used to lure fans of one of the best standup comedians alive into watching witches play dress-up and fly around some bubble city,” Evans said. “Honestly, what kind of target audience were they going for with a name like that?”
At the time of publication, thousands of Disney+ viewers were turning off their televisions after realizing ‘Hamilton’ was a musical, and not a documentary about renowned film actor George Hamilton.
