Billionaire, former Starbucks CEO, and man who sold the Seattle SuperSonics to Oklahoma City Howard Schultz announced this week he’s moved to Miami, proving that the state of Washington’s new Millionaire Tax is already working.

“Is it nice that once Gov. Ferguson signs the Millionaire Tax our state will get at least $3 billion more a year to fund things like public education? Sure, but that’s really more of a bonus,” said Rep. Julia Reed. “Obviously the real point of the tax is immediately and finally purging the state of Howard Schultz.”

For decades, Seattle and the state of Washington had tried to send a strong message to Schultz that his union-busting, basketball team-destroying, and coffee burning were no longer welcome to no avail.

“He even thought after all that he could run for president with our support,” said Rep. Noel Frame. “If we had only passed this Millionaire Tax years ago, we may have been able to completely prevent the Oleato. May future generations of Washingtonians never know that olive oil and coffee were once mixed in a real Starbucks drink.”

At press time, Schultz was in Miami expecting Seattle’s “Bring Back Our Schultz” campaign to begin any day now.
