In yet another major win for the emotionally checked-out, advocates’ efforts to spread awareness of resources for today’s World Mental Health Day were once again successfully pushed down and ignored.

“For just a second I was aware today was World Mental Health Day, but then I quickly stuffed it down before anything could break me out of my safe, steady and emotionally numb, dissociated state,” said local mom Debbie Erlich. “I can’t imagine anything crazier right now than voluntarily feeling feelings. I bottle that shit up, age it like a fine wine and then surprise gift it to those who love me most.”

Although information inviting people to consider getting more of the mental health help they need threatened many, most found the strength to stay in denial that they need help.

“Whenever I notice advice and supportive resources coming up that intend to help break me out of psychological misery, I just remember it’s better to push it down and ignore them than risk feeling uncertainty, disappointment or self-accountability,” said local dad Harold Benson. “All that stuff is for losers who aren’t resigned to dying with a victim/martyr complex after years of blaming all their bad moods on someone else.”

At press time, the nations’ parents once again announced to their children that they don’t need therapy, that’s for crazy people, and that they can’t wait to pick a fight with you over the dumbest thing ever heard the next time you come home.
