After a 9.5-point Seattle mayoral primary loss to his underdog opponent Katie Wilson last week, his chief of staff’s resignation earlier this week, and then a wave of people beginning to switch their endorsements away from him, other losers on LinkedIn today confirmed Mayor Bruce Harrell has quietly changed his profile to “open to work.”

“I’m ready for new pastures anywhere but Iowa! Please don’t ask!” says Harrell’s new profile bio. “For my next chapter, I’m excited to bring my wealth of experience serving the wealthy.”

Fortunately Harrell seems to have a lot of positive recommendations on his profile from friends and clients.

“Very good at texting back and follow-through,” said U Village owner and Denny Blaine resident Stuart Sloan. “Always finds creative solutions for high-value donors like building a children’s playground at a known nude beach.”

At press time, Mayor Harrell was reportedly still awaiting new LinkedIn recommendations from his mayoral campaign’s endorsers Rep. Pramila Jayapal, King County Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda and MLK Labor.
