Fearful of losing ground to progressive challenger Katie Wilson, today Mayor Bruce Harrell was spotted showing his left-leaning qualifications at the Denny Blaine Park Beach’s queer nude beach.
“I could not believe my binoculars,” said noted queer nude beach voyeur Stuart Sloan. “But it was definitely Bruce out there. I could tell by the way he immediately picked up when I called.”
Lately, Harrell has engaged in a flurry of activity attempting to distance himself from his own record – suddenly interested in light rail, providing tax relief to small businesses, and sunning his buns on the shores of Lake Washington with a community he has repeatedly antagonized during his tenure.
“I’ve cared about this community for minutes now,” said Harrell about his dramatic beach flip-flop. “And there’s no amount of last minute pandering I wouldn’t do to swindle votes away from better candidates. If Seattle voters are as dumb as I think they are, they will re-elect the mayor they deserve. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some volleyball to play.”
After seeing Bruce in the buff, nude beach regulars have also now reportedly flip-flopped to supporting the mayor’s prior efforts to shut it down.
