As hardworking mothers across the country woke up this morning to flowers, breakfasts in bed, and macaroni art, today President Donald Trump told everyone he wished himself a very Happy Mother’s Day.
“Happy Mother’s Day to the best, most beautiful mother one could ever have—me,” said President Trump while holding a gilded hand mirror up to himself in video posted to the main White House social media accounts. “I hope you enjoyed sipping mimosas during your luxurious morning at the salon with the girls and Pete Hegseth—your tornado of golden hair has never looked so full of Aqua Net.”
Trump later tried to distance himself from the video after many found his Mother’s Day message to himself offensive and confusing.
“I actually had nothing to do with it—someone on my staff made it with Ai and thought it would be funny. I think all the moms liked it a lot actually,” Trump said in a Truth Social post. “Just like the Catholics liked it when I admitted I would be the best next Pope within a week of the last one dying.”
At press time, the president was reportedly sulking in his bedroom because Melania didn’t send him anything or even call.
