Today a group of local Indian mom influencers once again ruined the Festival of Colors, Holi, as bad as mothers who ruin Easter egg dying with beets when they only let their kids throw 100% organic, artisanal gulals hand-crafted by actual children in India.
“Come on kids – we’ve got light beige, dark beige and—for a little pop of color—taupe,” said Bellevue Indian mom influencer Preeti Kumar. “These photos are going to look so good when I post them on Instagram for the earth mama Beige-hive.”
Preeti and other Indian mom influencers say the that although the cost of 100% natural gulals in special colors like sand and dirt can be steep, bragging about using them for Holi is priceless.
“Everyone on social I’m not even real friends with is going to rave about this vintage Holi look we went for,” said Angjeela Kohli. “Sure, we had to Photoshop smiles on the children’s faces just like we did last year before we posted it on social, but I mean how is that different from every other day of the year?”
At press time, local white children started to eat the gulal mistaking it for something actually joyful like chocolate.
