Today local erotic film lovers were excited to hear this year’s Hump! Film Festival received a coveted two thumbs up from renowned film critics Gene Stikskil and Roger P. Ervert, even though neither of them said where.
“Man, I’m so excited to get back to celebrating well-crafted, artisan adult entertainment in-person, even if I’m not sure which orifice in which film the critics meant to say their thumbs went up—I guess we’re all a little rusty at this,” said local cinephile Rick Tuhm as he scanned which films would be playing this weekend. “Personally, I see my own two thumbs going up something in Ménage a Fromage and The Cannoli Brothers, but I could see at least half a pinky going up Ronald McBottoms for Some McDicken.”
The famous film critic duo said their omission was on purpose.
“I mean, yes, usually we when we review the Hump! Film Festival we let indie theatergoers know exactly where we did and did not want to insert our thumbs,” said Ervert, while cleaning the steam off his glasses. “Well, quite frankly this year—between me and my critical compatriot—we didn’t have enough thumbs for all orifices the films left us wanting to penetrate.”
Although other local film critics still couldn’t say where their thumbs are going up or down either on the film festival, their refusal to review it at all did confirm where they put sticks up.
