Just a week after reports that he owes Washington state more than $5 million in campaign finance violation fines, Tim Eyman was reportedly caught and arrested today for stealing countless virtual chairs from Seattle’s new NFT museum valued at 5 bazillion dogecoin.
“Yeah, he thought he was pretty slick there taking photos of an office chair with a Nyan Cat off a TV screen with his cell phone, all ready to sell them as his own NFTs on the black Ethereum market,” said police detective Wayne Derrick. “Luckily a patron who paid $150 US dollars for the museum’s opening day admission ticket caught him before he could abscond with valuable images anyone can find and copy off the internet right now for free.”
Seattle NFT Museum owner Shelly Upright thanked police for their swift action in retrieving the museum’s precious art pieces obtained by right clicking and saving images they like off the internet.
“It’s just shameful when anyone tries to swindle and pull a fast one on others like that, you know?” said Upright. “First Office Depot, then us — what a grifter. I’m just glad we were able to retrieve the art stolen on his phone and resell it for the equivalent of $60 million.”
Since his arrest, the new Seattle NFT Museum says they’ve already made $1 million in US dollar ticket sales after announcing a new exhibit featuring NFT photos of Eyman being arrested.
