Just days after a Seattle special election with only one item on the ballot, a Madrona printshop says they’re already flooded with customers taking advantage of their 2-for-1 flash sale on “In This House We Believe” and “Recall Sawant” yard signs.
“Grabbing a deal on both signs is a great way to keep your hatred for Kshama alive while attempting to mask your latent racism and sexism … ‘In This House We Believe Black Lives Matter, Women’s Rights Are Human Rights’—LOL!,” said Madrona Printshop owner Michael Higgins. “And if we’re gonna be able to afford a recount this month followed by another Recall Sawant special election right after this next Easter weekend, we need to save money. It’s gonna cost one Lake Washington waterfront homeowner’s entire Christmas bonus plus millions of taxpayer dollars to finally Recall Sawant, but we can do it!”
Sue Pilfer said she drove all the way up from Leschi to grab the BOGO deal on yard signs.
“Honestly, these yard signs should be even cheaper – there a typo here that says ‘Black Lives Matter,’” said Pilfer. “That’s okay, I’ll just mark it out and write ‘All Lives Matter’ over it.”
At press time, the print shop had reportedly sold out when all remaining stock was bought out by The Seattle Times Editorial Board.
