As almost all states in the country announce dates that COVID-19 vaccines will be eligible to all before May 1, Gov. Jay Inslee promised Washington state today he has plans to set a similar date but his new phone “has really been acting up lately.”
“I’ve been meaning to schedule something, but I think my new phone’s calendar app isn’t syncing right or something ,” said Inslee at a press conference this morning. “Also, work is crazy right now.”
Several Washington state residents expressed their frustration with the uncertain vaccine rollout dates, especially after President Joe Biden announced in a national address that he believes almost all Americans will have eligibility by April 19.
“April 19? I mean maybe – I think I might be out of town on a business trip that week though, so I’ll get back to you on that,” Inslee said while squinting at his Google Calendar app in frustration. “Darn this new phone. I’m gonna have to check my Outlook calendar on the desktop before I know if that will work, but I’ll definitely let you know later.”
At press time, all follow-up questions asking for schedule confirmation this afternoon were left on read.
