A new app exclusively serving the Seattle metro area has swept through the local dating scene by implementing what users say are more ways to ignore and reject potential partners than ever before.

While most apps allow users to simply leave a conversation or ignore messages, Chillr responds to the unique needs of its Seattle clients by offering a broader variety of passive-aggressive ways to successfully never meet a match.

“When I want to acknowledge that I received a message and never intend to respond, I use the “BlastChill” button. It sends a message saying “Gotcha” surrounded by a field of snowflakes,” said user Tamara Reynolds. “It’s a great way to end something without having to actually end it.”

Another avid user, Josh Hayworth, agrees.

“When I wasn’t able to care enough to individually delete people, I used the “Blizz” plug-in, which unmatched everyone I had contacted twice,” said Hayworth. “It felt great to care so little about everyone I once tried to connect with.”

Focus group members also responded well to Chillr’s “Cool Off” function, which sends a message saying “Let’s hang out sometime soon” while simultaneously deleting the match.
