In an adorable attempt to still belong, local liar Sarah Krupps has been telling everyone within earshot that she lives in West Seattle despite nightly slumbers in Burien.

Krupps, 35, apparently grew up in West Seattle, but moved away three years ago on a quest for cheaper rent. Sources report she’s doing her best to keep the shameful location of her current residence under wraps lest a lifetime of Seattle cred completely spiral down the drain.

“This job at Starbucks HQ would be so great since I just live in West Seattle!” Krupps recently told a potential employer in a job interview. “I will definitely be among the masses commuting across the West Seattle Bridge every morning — that darn bridge, right? Only way to get out!”

Friends who have connected the dots on their own find Krupps’ attempts to act like some full-breed Seattleite cute.

“I mean, she even thinks working at Starbucks is going to help,” said Krupps’ friend, Claire Tawny of Capitol Hill, with a giggle. “Fortunately, she has tolerant and open-minded friends like me — we love her and support her anyway.”

At press time, Krupps was geo-tagging West Seattle cafe Sound & Fog in an Instagram photo of a beautiful latte made at Burien Press.
