With the same athleticism that brought his high school football team to the state finals, Chuck “The White Stallion” Winbury  cut and dodged his way from his car to the Queen Anne Metropolitan Market’s front doors today, all while avoiding eye contact with the neighborhood’s Real Change vendor.

“It was just amazing,” said Marsha Steadman, who witnessed Winburry’s display. “I’ve never seen anyone move like that.”

According to dazzled shoppers, Winbury hardly slowed down when making his purchases, weaving through the store’s packed aisles before heading to checkout.

After paying for a bottle of mid-tier Chablis, a bag of juicing greens, and cat litter, Winbury stood at the store’s doors and waited for the Real Change vendor to turn his attention toward an approaching rain cloud before dashing back to his car.

“He might have avoided that vendor’s eyeshot, but he didn’t miss mine,” said store-cart collector Vince Smith. “Unforgettable.”
