In a stirring, inspiring and history-making speech as she formally accepted the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination Thursday night, Vice President Kamala Harris forcefully reaffirmed Israel’s right to not let the survival of its own hostages get in the way of first annihilating as many Gazans as possible.
“As president, I will always support Israel’s right to kill any or all of its own 105 unaccounted-for Israeli hostages in Gaza so that it can sustain any remotely plausible excuse for continuing to slaughter and starve hundreds of Palestinian civilians for as long as it wants—let’s keep this gravy train for American war weapon manufacturers like Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrup Raytheon going,” said VP Harris. “I am also in full support of a ceasefire as soon as Hamas accepts the terms of a hostage deal in which they simply find a way to reanimate the bodies of hostages Israel already bombed to bits months ago and actually can’t ever be retrieved now—it’s really that simple, folks. Ceasefire and that exact completely doable hostage deal now!”
VP Harris also reaffirmed the right of AIPAC, the only lobbying organization for a foreign country allowed to influence American elections, to retain so much control over the Democratic Party that they mostly continue to refuse to acknowledge that Palestinians and especially the genocide against them exists.
“I will stand up for every American no matter your background, except if you’re Palestinian,” VP Harris said to loud cheers. “If you wanna keep talking about a reality most of us still don’t want to really deal with—wahh blah blah most of my family is dead now because of American-made bombs this, and American bombs flattened my home country that—instead of buying the nice little fairy tale I’m selling right now wholesale, you can just get the fuck out of here. You’re the problem and you’re the one threatening the future of democracy.”
In a moving and radically empathetic close to the portion of her speech on foreign relations, VP Harris reiterated that if Israel used its right to kill all of its own hostages so that there could never really be a hostage deal and therefore keep killing Gazans until almost none are left, that would be “heartbreaking” and she would send Palestine all her thoughts and prayers.
