Today King County Public Health advised local residents who may be freakin’ to contact the Crisis Connections Hotline and not call Beacon.

“I know the ads are everywhere, but please don’t call Beacon—they’re just not equipped,” said King County Executive Dow Constantine. “Neither is Bobby Wagner—if you see him, please just leave him alone.”

Despite the Public Health warning, local woman Kathy Wales said that after suffering from frequent panic attacks, she still opted for calling Beacon Plumbing and Heating instead.

“A van pulled up beside me with ‘Stop Freakin’ Call Beacon’ painted on the side right while I was stopped near the Beacon billboard on Nickerson, and then I almost immediately I heard Marshawn Lynch’s voice on the radio telling me to call—it just felt like a sign,” said Kathy. “So, I called Beacon, and they came right away. They did a great job installing a liner in the main sewer drain of my building, but were unable to prescribe any medication.”

At press time, King County said it wanted to additionally advise local residents who can’t stop freakin’ that they are also much more likely to get the help they need by calling 211 or Crisis Connections’ 24-hour 1(866)4CRISIS line than reply- or quote-tweeting Elmo.
