In a show of incredible civic dedication, today Publicola broke the news that West Seattle man Rob Saka kicked off his four-year term of being local comedy gold by letting everyone know an eight-inch road divider preventing illegal left turns on Delridge Way SW is nothing short of a Trump Border Wall.
“There’s no one I’d rather have serving up for Seattle what I’m sure will be a constant stream of Grade A material for the next four years,” said Mayor Bruce Harrell, who endorsed Saka’s run for the position. “Sometimes I’m just not sure if I’m serving up enough of it on a platter myself for places like The Needling, and I can’t emphasize enough how happy I am that I’ll always have Rob there to back me up and pitch in.”
Although Seattle’s Only Real Fake News would never endorse electing someone who is an actual joke to public office, Needling Editor Lex Vaughn thanked Saka and everyone who supported his run for what will ultimately still be a gift to the publication nonetheless.
“Today’s gift is already such a generous donation to us and therefore the community at large,” said Vaughn. “Like, Saka really was so pissed that he couldn’t perform a dangerous illegal left turn into his kids’ pre-school parking lot that would endanger people using a bike path on that side of the road that he compared an eight-inch tall road divider to a Trump Border Wall to SDOT. Wow, I’m gonna be calling back to this moment for years to come. Thank you, Rob Saka.”
At press time, Saka was already killing on stage at a local comedy club talking about he’s going to do anything but endlessly co-opt progressive language to keep up Seattle’s neo-liberal status quo.
