In an amphibious feat the likes of which Seattle snow lovers had never yet seen, today one man sledding at Gas Works Park suddenly became a Lake Union kayaker.
“At first I didn’t know what it was because he jetted by so fast, but then I saw an unmistakable line of yellow snow stretching from the highest hill to the park shore,” said witness Jill Phinney. “And that’s when I knew someone was about to achieve what had never been done in Seattle before – an amphibious activity more dangerous than Ride the Ducks.”
The instantly legendary kayaker, Cody Brooks, said he rowed himself back to shore with an oar offered to him by a nearby hot tub boat.
“They offered to give me a ride, but I declined,” Brooks said. “I mean, I’m a risk taker, but climbing into a steaming bowl of sweaty human gumbo is where I draw the line.”
Inspired by the sudden kayaker, city transportation engineers are reportedly already exploring the idea of a Water Slide Taxi to quickly transport tech workers across the lake to Amazon’s South Lake Union campus.
