Today the brick-and-mortar location of Macklemore’s designer golfing clothes brand at University Village, Bogey Boys, threw out a man who allegedly popped all of their tags despite having only $20 in his pocket.
“He was completely out of his mind repeatedly rambling about wearing ‘your grandad’s hand-me-downs,’ ‘big-ass coats’ and ‘pisss,’—just complete nonsense,” said a store attendant who wished to remain unnamed. “Everyone knows the cheapest shirt in this store is more than $100 despite being made in the same China sweatshop that makes $5 tanks for H&M.”
The attendent said the man was apoplectic upon realizing he couldn’t even afford a pair of socks after tax before he was thrown on his ass in front of Free People.
“This guy even had the audacity to ask if there was at least a $50 t-shirt in here somewhere, like I’m gonna give you a 75% off just because you asked—who do you think you are?” the attendant said. “Did they not see all the Rolex flags in here? Honestly, he’s not the first I’ve had to throw out. For some reason so many Macklemore fans don’t get this is a luxury, designer brand and I have no idea why.”
When asked for comment, the store’s assistant manager Ryan Lewis quickly scuttled away, mumbling something about “Mack does the talking.”
