After her recent visit to the Home and Garden Show, Bothell mom Beverly Carlisle has “just the thing” for the rash of homelessness plaguing Seattle.

“I realized that there just isn’t enough affordable housing in this increasingly expensive area,” said Bev. “So I mixed up a lavender and sandalwood tincture that is sure to fix it.”

The Seattle/King County Coalition on Homelessness recognizes that ending homelessness requires coordination of a range of services, so Beverly recommends “applying three times a day to affected areas and maintaining a positive outlook.”

“I covered Bellevue with neroli a month ago and haven’t seen a single urban camper since,” Bev reported. “I also made a nutmeg rub for your dad’s arthritic wrist and he’s back at the driving range already.”

When the City Council dismissed her radical essential oil strategy, she spoke at a public hearing pleading “If you aren’t even going to try the things I suggest, why do you ask for my help in the first place? The least you could do is try it.”
