Sir Elton John capped off his incredible two-night stint at the Tacoma Dome with a unique flourish, as the raucous Tacoma crowd cheered for an encore by throwing scores of bedazzled Carhartt overalls onto the stage.
“Boy, I tell you, me and the fellas just love Sir Elton, we’re always listening to that honey voiced angel at the job site,” said Chuck Lowe, foreman at Caribou Construction and die-hard Elton John fan. “I know it’s supposed to be his farewell and all but I sure do hope that ‘Bitch Is Back’ soon, me and the wife would just die.”
Bedazzled overalls, velvet covered vape pens, and peacock-print Oakley wrap-around sunglasses rained down on the stage from the adoring crowd as Sir Elton John returned for a three song encore.
“Elton could go on all night and ‘I’m Still Standing’ no matter what,” Lowe continued while shaking stray Joann Fabrics craft jewels off his steel-toed boots. “Forget Saturday night, any ‘Night’s Alright’ for that glorious songbird, that’s what I say.”
Meanwhile, Tacoma Dome staff has hired on an additional five hundred temporary employees for a three-day effort to remove all the glitter stubbornly attached to every surface in the venue. All proceeds will be donated to a nearby Déjà Vu Showgirls.
