Today’s news that Rage Against the Machine will reunite to headline the 2020 Coachella Music Festival was quickly overlooked by quick-acting talent buyers at AEG for Bumbershoot, who confirmed they’ve secured a reunion of 90s alt-rock sensation Creed to headline next year’s festival at Seattle Center.

“When our head talent buyer heard the news about Rage and Coachella this morning, he goes ‘Dude, hold my beer,’” said a source for AEG, who chose to remain anonymous. “Watching the whole thing unfold was pretty rad. Even more amazing was how completely, 100 percent available the whole band was. They instantly said yes with arms wide open – not even a negotiation stage. Can you believe it? This is going to rock!”

Music festival experts are also reporting Creed has a 100 percent higher chance of showing up to perform than 2019 headliner Lizzo.

“We’ve confirmed there’s zero chance Creed will, instead of performing at Bumbershoot, rest up for a Made In America concert where Jay-Z and Beyonce cheer them on from the side-stage. But just to make sure, we may or may not have already booked fellow 90s darlings Dave Matthews and Duff McKagan to be our own side-stage darlings for next year.”
