After a series of unsuccessful listings elsewhere, today struggling local mall Pacific Place was spotted for offer on the Buy Nothing Downtown Seattle Facebook group.

“Give: Cool vintage late-90s mall! Recently renovated, lots of unrented space, so much rad potential,” reads the post, from user Madison Marquette. “No-contact pick-up near 6th and Pine. Really loved owning this mall, but ready for it to go to a new forever home. Could be a great spot for tech offices, a sports complex, indoor dog park, or an immersive research space for a 30-episode podcast about the retail apocalypse.”

Despite clearly stating that this was for full mall ownership only, most of the comments asked if it was possible to split up the offer and only take goods from some of the few remaining businesses. The top requests were for the contents of Tiffany & Co and unlimited free dumplings from Din Tai Fung. There were also many inquiries about businesses that have long been closed.

“Hi Madison! This is such a great offer! I’m happy for you to keep the rest of the mall but I’d love to help by just taking a few sweaters from Michael Kors and J. Crew,” offered user Marsha Davis. “Would you also consider shipping the stuff? I never shop in person anymore lol. Thanks for considering!!”

Sources claim there was interest from one user for the whole building, possibly from an affordable housing developer, but that comment appears to have been hastily deleted by the original poster.
