Join us for three weeks of unparalleled real fake journalism training, mentorship and collaboration beginning Monday, Nov. 14.
Workshop includes:
- Learning/reviewing fundamentals of writing real fake news journalism (news satire) through live collaborative and solo writing exercises, educational materials and workshopping with The Needling’s Editor-in-Chief.
- A small cohort of no more than 12 classmates to learn and workshop headlines and ideas with via an online classroom forum (Zoom-free, no video)
- Weekly set of 3 workshops include live Q & A and writing exercises each Monday night of the course (Nov. 14, 21, 28) at 7 – 8:30 p.m. Pacific. (First hour consists of writing lessons and exercises, followed by optional half hour of discussion/workshopping.)
- Overview of how to pitch headlines and stories to a variety of real fake news outlets
- Feedback and coaching from a Needling Real Fake Newsroom Editor to assemble a pitch-ready story for 4 weeks including week after the last workshop night
- Fully Non-accredited Real Fake Newsroom Workshop Graduation Certificate
