After being advised by his doctor to take up a two-minute daily meditation practice, Tom Sweeney, 43, has some scheduling concerns.

“My life is just too hectic for that,” said Sweeney, reporting that his commitment to his work, as well as the need to remain current on a rotating list of top TV shows, were a significant drain on his personal time.

“The doctor said I was at risk for another heart attack unless I could bring my stress levels down, but I just wish he could have recommended an approach that would fit a little more realistically into a modern person’s schedule,” Sweeney reported. “I just don’t have 120 seconds to spare anymore.”

At press time, a slack-jawed Sweeney had just barely squeezed in 30 minutes of scrolling through his Facebook newsfeed.
