Although its local merchants certainly appreciate your business, Bainbridge Island thinks it might be time for you to start headin’ home, multiple shopkeepers have now hinted.

“We love the vibrancy city dwellers add to our little island every weekend,” said Christy Evers of [high end tea and trinket shop name], as she carefully wrapped the picture frame you just bought for $29. “But I’m sure you probably want to be home in time for dinner.”

“It’s always a pleasure to welcome our friends across the Sound,” added Joseph Hatfield, owner of [hand-made wooden furniture place name], ringing up your new $65 hand-carved salad bowl. “But we certainly wouldn’t want you to miss the last ferry back to the city.”

“Thanks so much for coming over today,” said Linda Trent of [letter-press stationery store name], handing you your credit card receipt for $83 worth of notebooks and greeting cards. “I’m sure you need to get back to Ballard to feed your dog.”

“And did you know we have an online storefront?” Trent added. “Next time you won’t even need to come all this way.”
