Belltown – Milo, a six-year-old Dachsund, loves the recent surge in civic engagement, according to his owners, Nick and Angie Desmond.

“In the past six months, we’ve marched for women’s rights, gun control, workers’ rights, and each time we head out the door, Milo just goes nuts wagging his tail and jumping up and down,” Angie said. “I’m so happy he’s on the same page with us on issues because if he wasn’t … oh boy.”

When asked his views on these issues, Milo disinterestedly turned to gnaw on a bone.

“He has really shown us the importance of being active in our community and standing up for what we believe in,” Nick added as Milo licked his own nether regions.

But when Angie got out a leash asked him if he could stand another second of the Trump administration, he quickly ran to the door with his tail wagging and jumping up and down.

“See!” Angie exclaimed, “No hesitation — he’s ready to march right now!”
